This lovely piece is heavily influenced by the slopes of the beautiful Fraser Canyon in B.C Canada. A ponderosa pine tree and a fir tree stand side by side overlooking the Mighty Fraser River as it carves its way eventually to the Pacific Ocean.
This piece can be mounted on a wooden cradle on request.
“Mountain Bench Hillside 3” 9x12” unframed watercolour and pen
This piece is very special in its ability to capture the heart and feel of this particular and unique landscape of the Fraser Canyon. The ponderosa pine tree depicted here is plentiful in this area and smells like vanilla caramel when the sun warms its resin. I used bronzite, a metallic paint which shimmers, to give the feeling of our hot sun shining light on the sun bleached grasses.
